Ask Ash
*An invisible vein throbbed in her forehead and her whole body shook. Especially her shoulders. After hearing the human female scream, Jolteon scrunched her face and used a paw to wipe the inside of her ears, which were ringing. Umiko’s scream seemed to louder than the last one. She wanted to be stern, but because she lost confidence she could not do it. Instead she took a deep breath and turned away* I don’t care, I want that thing out of my face. I’m leaving and if you try anything *Hinata leaped in front of Pikachu and growled. The Lightning pokemon was obedient and was prepared to attack when necessary.* I won’t hesitate. *A cold look lingered in her lavender eyes and Jolteon continued to growl at the other electric-type. Umiko did not want to hurt them but wanted to escape. The reason for her fear was a nightmare and Ash did not seem trustworthy.*
The Pikachu stared at Hinata and electricity flew out his cheeks, he was equally as obedient as Hinata was. “Umiko, you have to face your fears every now and then, I’ve done it plenty of times, too often in fact.” Pikachu looked at Ash, the trainer never usually opened himself up to people even slightly. “Why can’t you face this particular fear?”
*Unafraid, Jolteon continued to growl at the rodent and bared her sharp teeth. Not caring what Ash said Umiko responded with an irritated tone* you just don’t get it. I have my reasons and I don’t need to tell you. You don’t even know me. Just because you’ve been through a lot doesn’t mean you can change how I feel.
The youngster returned when this was said, Ash gave the Patrat him and said, “Thanks, don’t worry no harm has been done.” The youngster hastily walked off, not looking back. “Are you happy now, are you happy that your ‘greatest fear’ has gone away?” Pikachu looked back at Hinata and he didn’t let the Jolteon out of his sight, he was on the defensive, making sure that he was in the perfect place to defend himself and Ash if Umiko instructed Hinata to do anything precarious.

*Surprised that the rodent leaped onto her shoulder, she looked at it and made a questionable look. Pikachu was cute yet serious. The teenager did not notice the younger boy walking with his Patrat* are you trying to help me?
*Hinata was glad the duo was being helpful, though the sight of Patrat worried her. She knew exactly what her trainer was gonna do. Scream and yell at Ash. She was even too afraid to pet a sleeping Patrat. How did the boy know she was scared of those pokemon? Was he a mind reader? Why rush things after what Umiko had been through? She was scared for her sister’s life for goodness sake!*
*The Academy Leader was about to pet Pikachu until it jumped off her shoulder and greeted the Scout pokemon. Finally, when she saw the brown creature in Ash’s hands, she widened her eyes and screamed. The shriek was loud enough to make a flock of Pidove fly away from a tree. Trying to stay calm, Umiko gently gritted her teeth and cracked a small smile. She did not want to yell at him and knew it would ruin her image* Ash *she said through clenched teeth* what do you think you’re doing? Get that ugly thing away from me or I’m leaving!
When Umiko screamed, Ash just turned away and covered the Patrat’s ears. Pikachu, who’s hearing was far greater than any human, instinctly put his paws to his ears. “I swear you burst one of my eardrums.” Ash banged his right ear a couple of times. Luckily, there’s was hardly anyone around at this time, so not many people heard the scream. The youngster and Pikachu ran back. “Wha-what’s wrong?” The youngster asked, “Nothing kid, just the female is scared of Patrats and Watchhogs, I’m just tranna help, so far, mixed results.” The Patrat knew he was trying to help, but being called ugly got him quite angry, he had managed to calm himself but he did not know how long it would be until he did lash out, “Umiko I’m not moving this Patrat and you’re not leaving” He turned to the youngster, “Sorry kid, can you talk a walk for a bit, come back in around 10 minutes.” “My Patrat?” “He’s in good hands” “Fine.” The youngster walked off. Pikachu then jumped onto Umiko’s shoulder he was trying to explain that you have to face your fears but all Umiko and Ash heard was, “Pika, pika, pikachu.” Ash smiled, there was a boy walking nearby with a Patrat, “Yo kid! Yeah you, can you come here for a sec?” The kid walked caustiously towards the bench, Pikachu jumped from Umiko’s shoulder and ran to the Patrat, he told it that Umiko was afraid of Patrats and Watchogs and that Ash and himself wanted to help her face her fears, the Patrat agreed to help and walked with Pikachu to the bench, the young trainer asked Ash “Wha-what do you want?” Ash picked up the Patrat, “I just want to borrow your Patrat for a bit. You can play with my Pikachu meanwhile” The youngster looked at Pikachu “Ok.” The two ran off but stayed within earshot. “Umiko, you need to face your fears, you mustn’t be shadowed by them” He began stroking the Patrat.*The Student Trainer was right. Not many things intimidated her except a few. Umiko was not as fearless as others thought. Besides Brian, she feared Watchogs and Patrats, and her sister’s death. At the Battle Academy, most people knew she was afraid of Watchogs and Patrats…

*The Student Trainer was right. Not many things intimidated her except a few. Umiko was not as fearless as others thought. Besides Brian, she feared Watchogs and Patrats, and her sister’s death. At the Battle Academy, most people knew she was afraid of Watchogs and Patrats because of her forfeits against Watchog users. It was embarrassing really. Out of a million guesses, how did Ash know she was scared of Brian? When they first met he was not that intimidating, but later on he did. Her lavender eyes widened a little and swiftly moved to the boy’s direction. Her mouth opened a bit but nothing came out. Her body froze. She did not want Ash to know the truth even though it was quite obvious. Suddenly a muffled chuckle was heard and she smiled awkwardly as if she were hiding great laughter* hmph..hmhm…hah him? No I’m not talking about Brian, ha ha w-what makes you say that? I-I’m not scared of him….He’s my boss *Her right eye twitched awkwardly* ha ha you’re so funny Ash!
The boy cassually checked his finger nails, “It’s not everyday you lie is it? If it was you’d know that your right eye twitches when you do and try not hesitate before you do attempt a lie,” Pikachu’s ears were twitching at Umiko’s rapid beating heart, “And your heart is beating faster, you are scared of Brain and now I know this but the question is why?”
Welcome to the Battle Academy: Rp with ask-ashyboy
*Ignoring her trainer’s offer, she quietly growled at Pikachu and stopped when he convinced her everything was an accident. Jolteon was a little vain, which was why she did not like…
“Him?” The boy tried to think who could ever imtimidate Umiko, honestly, he thought it would be a challenge for that to happen, “Brian….out of all people how come he imtimidate you the most?”
ask-secretagentdashstar asked: Hey Ash,No offence to Pikachu, but who is your faveorite Pok'emon other then him?
I’m sure he takes none. That is a difficult question, all Pokemon are equal, but I do like the Bisharp.
*Ignoring her trainer’s offer, she quietly growled at Pikachu and stopped when he convinced her everything was an accident. Jolteon was a little vain, which was why she did not like getting her fur dirty. Even after battle she needed a good bath. Deciding to forgive the rodent, Hinata sighed and smiled faintly. She said something along the lines of “Okay I believe you, as long as you’re not lying.”*
*Surprised, the female trainer raised an eyebrow. Perhaps they were friends, but Umiko was unsure. They did not talk much and had different interests besides battling and pokemon* friends? You and me?
*Wanting to know the reason yet feeling bad about asking, she questioned him* how come? Don’t you miss her?
The Pikachu said that he wasn’t lying jumped back on the bench telling Hinata to follow.
“Sure we aren’t aren’t close friends but I kinda count you as a friend.” The boy looked away. “I guess I kinda miss her”
*Trailing behind Pikachu, Jolteon quietly pounced on the bench and waited for any further instructions. Ash and Pikachu were their guests so they had to do what they wanted. It was common courtesy really.*
I see…You’re lucky she’s still around *thinking about her own deceased mother, Umiko was somewhat plagued by her death. She did not know exactly what happened, but the dreadful event involved a crash with a truck. When a traveler returned home mothers always welcomed them with a fresh meal and love. Unlike Umiko and her sister, it did not turn out that way when they left on their journeys. The Academy Leader was a little envy that Ash had a mom and felt he should have been grateful. He was, though it did not seem like it.* If you’re not home that often, what goal are you aiming for? Becoming Champion or something?
((Sorry for the wait))
The Pikachu looked carefully at Ash, he wanderd how would Ash react, the boy had never told anyone about the incident except for the Pikachu. Ash ignored what Umiko had said about being lucky, “My goal, is to survive whatever is thrown at me.”
